Podcasts
Stuff You Should Know – howstuffworks.com An interesting podcast about half an hour in length that covers almost everything you could think of. From ‘How Capturing Carbon Credits Works’ to ‘Will the World End in 2012′ This podcast covers almost everything. By the way, the world will probably NOT end in 2012.
Stuff You Missed in History Class – howstuffworks.com Know all those things you weren’t taught in history class? Of course not, that’s because you weren’t taught them. This podcast will cover those things not taught in history class. From Greek Philosophy and its relationship to happiness to ‘Did Betsy Ross Make the First Flag?’
The Psych Files – Michael Britt Covering the gambit of psychology in everyday life, Michael Britt explains in an interesting way how psycology affects and influences us. From industrial psychology to counseling sessions he explains it all.
Skepticality – Derek and Swoopy The official podcast of Skeptic magazine. Derek and Swoop are the great debunkers of our generation. All those conspiracy theories you’ve heard over the years are put to the test and shown to be wrong by Derek and Swoopy.
The History of Rome – Mike Duncan As an ancient history buff, this podcast is right up my alley. It covers the history of Rome from its mythological orgins hopefully up to its fall (right now it is at the reign of Tiberius) I look forward to listening to this one some more.

Music
Dark Horse – Nickelback Yes, I’ve heard the comment that many of Nickelback’s songs sound the same; that the band has the ‘Def Leppard Syndrome’ and to some extent, its true but, there’s something about the Canadian band that I enjoy. This is a pretty good album so far. I’ll know more about what I think when I listen to it more.
*Curb, The State, The Long Road – Nickelback I’m becoming a bigger fan of Nickelback. I bought their older albums off iTunes and have been listening to them. They aren’t bad, but their newer stuff is much better. Its nice to listen to a band that improves as they grow and doesn’t get lax and lazy in the comfort of popularity.
