Safari 4 is Awesome!

Earlier this week, Safari 4 was released to the public and it was out of Beta. Good, the Beta version kinda sucked, it killed my MSN Messenger requiring me to remove it and reinstall Safari 3.

With that in the back of my hazy mind, I decided to give the new Safari 4 a shot. I was not disappointed. It is much faster than any other browser out there. It is twice as fast as OmniWeb on the javascript benchmark test, four times faster than FireFox and eight times faster than my old standard, Camino. All versions were updated before running the test.

Here are the Javascript Benchmark results:

Camino 1.6.7: 797ms
FireFox 3.0.10: 429ms
Omni at 215ms
Opera at 415ms.
Safari 4: 94ms

It is the only browser I tested that passed the Acid3 test with a 100/100 which is pretty cool.

Camino 1.6.7: 53/100
FireFox 3.0.10: 71/100
Safari 4: 100/100

I am very impressed with it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a new web browser. After trying it out, it was easy to break my addiction to Camino.
